Filmmaker and photographer, Ryan Hopkinson works across disciplines with a refined aesthetic in advertising and luxury image making. His projects combine highly conceptual art direction with a cinematic touch, to create mesmerising and fascinating worlds to explore. Ryan’s work draws inspiration from fashion, art, science and technology. His commercial and personal work has been commissioned by different brands and editorial titles including, Louis Vuitton, Kenzo, Rolex, Reebok, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Issey Miyake, Sony... and Its Nice That, Wonderland, Nowness, Creative Review...Also, Ryan’s work has won him top spots at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, The D&AD Awards, and the Young Guns ADC Awards, amongst others. His talent has been celebrated five times in the Creative Review Photography Annual.

CONVERSATION ABOUT PAINTING
“The project initially started with the discussion of painting and how/why specific works can be defined by movement, style or history,” says Ryan. “Our conversation progressed to the point where we thought about that first paint stroke and if you could define a piece of work from it.”
