If the plastic photo reportage exists, the Franco-English Aurélien Chauvaud is surely one of those who know to honor it. When the social and human context specific to each subject is at the heart of the image, an interest in places and people is revealed through a strong aesthetic proposition. The place sometimes takes the upper hand over the individual, but never one goes without the other, and it is ultimately artistic documentaries that Aurélien Chauvaud brings back from his various expeditions. Also author of editorial portraits, he applies the same degree of reading to anonymous as well-known subjects, isolating the individual and his environment to make them the exclusive subject of his work. He collaborates regularly with AD and Milk magazines and in 2020 publishes on behalf of the author L.A Ments, a magazine - city portrait - produced in Los Angeles. Aurélien won twice in 2020 for his campaigns "Les orphelins d´Auteuil" and "Mac Do" an IPA Awards as well as to the artistic directors club.
