Alice Quaresma
Photography
Alice Quaresma was born in Brazil in 1985 and she currently lives in New York. She experiments with her photographs in a sensorial and playful way, pushing the boundaries of photography as a flat surface. Exploring the ludic world of photography, she brings less rational qualities to her photographs in using paintings textures and materials. The Brazilian art movements: “Neo-Concrete” and the “Tropicalia” have been two consistent source of inspiration on Alice’s practice. She has in her curriculum a number of awards, special projects invitations and residency programs, including the renowned Foam Talent Prize in Amsterdam. Alice already had her work published in major magazines, newspapers and websites in Brazil, Japan, US and Europe. Alice also creates special projects for brands who are seeking for new visions.
